Paid Content Marketing Templates

Problem:

Ask Media Group is a performance marketing company that leverages over 50+ content verticals for their paid content marketing efforts. Each of these verticals are unique with its own taxonomy and audiences. A single template would not suffice and would not offer the needed variations the advertiser sought. 

Solution:

As the lead designer, I worked with the project stakeholders, leveraged analytics and user research to identify three distinct templates that can be used for these verticals. I used internal keyword metrics to help develop multiple reusable taxonomies (navigation) for each of these content verticals. With so many verticals I developed a strategy of three main template types that could work for each content site and allow for the needed user engagements.

Paid Content Marketing Template Process:

  • Research competitors approach and identify best practices

  • Leverage existing user research and user analytics to understand the audience goals

  • Utilize internal keyword metrics to develop taxonomies

  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop wireframes

  • Deliver completed mocks with examples of the template in use across several verticals

  • Provide feedback and support to the developer team
